This may be due to the SIM card, the network, or your phone settings.

The most common solutions are described below:

Switch the device off and on

Switching your device off and on is often the solution. With this action the SIM card registers itself on the network of your provider.

Network

See if your phone has reach. You can see this by the number of signal bars (or dots) that are on top or by the side of your screen. Are there no bars? Contact your telecom provider for this solve the problem.

If you still do not receive a text message after checking the steps above, the following items may help:

  • Your telephone has been switched off for a few days, resulting in the delivery of the text messages has not taken place. Your telecom provider often tries to deliver sent text messages for up to 72 hours. The message is then deleted from the network and can no longer be delivered.

  • Some phones have a “block sender” function that allows certain numbers to be blocked. This function can often be switched off in the “Messages” menu.
